Lori Bedard

Chief Executive Officer

Lori brings more than 15 years of inpatient rehabilitation expertise to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill. She graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. Lori has been employed by HealthSouth since 1997 in various roles and has been the hospital’s chief executive officer since 2005.

Mira Zelin

Medical Director

Dr. Zelin earned her medical degree from the Baskirian Medical University in Ufa, Russia in 1987. She performed a pediatric internship at the Municipal Hospital in Ufa, Russia and worked as a pediatrician in Russia for seven years before relocating to the United States. In 2005, Dr. Zelin earned her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. She then completed a transitional internship at Doctors Hospital in Massillon, OH. In 2009, she completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Case Western Reserve University; MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio and Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Zelin is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is presently the medical director at HealthSouth Spring Hill in Fla. She has three sons and resides in Spring Hill with her husband and son.

Dr. Mira Zelin is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.

Michelle Anthony, RN

Chief Nursing Officer

Michelle has been the director of nursing for HealthSouth for 10 years. She has been a registered nurse for nearly 30 years and has been working in acute physical rehabilitation for the past 23 years. She has held various nursing leadership positions throughout her time in rehabilitation. Michelle has worked in a variety of clinical settings including critical care, medical surgical and rehabilitation nursing. Michelle graduated from the Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing in Pennsylvania and is currently working on completing her bachelor’s degree in nursing through Old Dominion University.

Chris Ballish

Director of Marketing Operations

Chris brings more than 20 years of healthcare management and business development expertise to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill. He graduated with degrees in cardiopulmonary sciences and healthcare management. Chris has extensive experience in acute and post-acute care. His team completes clinical evaluations, provides marketing support, public relations and inpatient rehabilitation education to a wide geographic service area.

Andrew Bedard

Director of Therapy Operations

Andrew has been employed by HealthSouth since 1997 and has been a director of therapy operations since 2003. He assisted with the start up of both HealthSouth Emerald Coast Rehabilitation Hospital in Panama City, Florida, and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill. Andrew graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. Andrew has more than 15 years of healthcare experience.

Linda Calidonio

Director of Quality and Risk Management

Originally from Long Island, New York, Linda brings almost 20 years of healthcare experience to HealthSouth. She graduated from Pasco-Hernando College in 1993 making her a third generation registered nurse. She has continued her education to become certified in rehabilitation nursing achieving the CRRN®. She has been with HealthSouth since 2003 in various roles and the director of risk/quality management since 2008.  She has a license in Healthcare Risk Management from the State of Florida since 2001.

Jack Hartley

Director of Plant Operations

Originally from Pennsylvania, Jack brings more than 24 years of healthcare-based plant operations experience with 15 years in a management role. He assisted in opening the hospital in 2003. Jack graduated from CHI Institute in 1992 with his diploma in HVAC technology.He holds his Certified Healthcare Engineer Certification from Florida Healthcare Engineers Associations and his Florida State Security Officers license.

Doug Hayman

Director of Case Management

Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Doug has been in health care for more than 20 years and has worked at HealthSouth since 1990. He has diverse experience at HealthSouth working in various departments from purchasing to his current position as head of the case management department. Doug completed his bachelor’s degree at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Kimberly Lunt

Controller

Kimberly is a certified public accountant with nearly 15 years of accounting and finance experience. She joined HealthSouth in 2010. Prior to that, she was an assistant vice president with a real estate finance company with an emphasis on financial projections and reporting. She graduated from the University of Florida with a master’s degree in accounting.

Mary Salamanca

Human Resources Director

Mary brings more than 10 years of prior human resources experience to the HealthSouth team. Mary’s experience includes multi-unit human resources management with a focus on organizational development. In 2002, she graduated from the University of Central Florida with a master's degree in management, specializing in human resources and change management.
